Its kinda like one big song on the radio. Like so many artists had different styles of r&b, and I think that a lot of artist are going to the same producers and everything is starting to sound the same. You know when you heard a Baby Face record you knew this was Baby Face, when you heard a Stevie Wonder song, you knew it was Stevie Wonder. I think what’s happening right now, is that, there’s so many cats out there doing the same thing, there’s just no variety anymore… You know when I was in the game, everybody had their own style. “Nah, I don’t think r&b is dead, I just think everybody has their own style. (*waits*) I’ve truly missed love-inspired songs and hope that Donell makes a full fledged come back, drops another album, or at least ghost writes for a killer r&b artist… Anyway, check out the song and what Donell told me about the alleged death of r&b. The song is called “Love Like This”, and its about proving to a woman that you truly love her even though she’s scared of love.
